DO WE HAVE THE GOVERNMENT WE DESERVE?
CAN WE DO BETTER??
THE FITCHBURG REPUBLICAN CITY COMMITTEE WANTS AND NEEDS YOUR HELP!!
Unfortunately our Republican candidates and the Party was defeated in November 2012. We were defeated, but we are not gone!! We are dusting ourselves off and are coming back, stronger than ever. We have many ideas on how to attract new members to join the Party as well at to attend our monthly meetings to help in our activities throughout the year.
Why did we lose, because in part because we did not have YOU. YOU didn't become involved and participate, you let others do the work. We were willing and able, but fell short. It is now your time to join in and help. We don't need you sitting home feeling sorry for yourself and asking how could "he" have been re-elected. There are local elections in 2013, an unexpected Senate race, as well as U.S. House positions open again in 2014. There may also be some special elections in MA that will need all hands on deck to help get out the vote. Don't sit at home again this time. Join us this time. We could have made a difference in 2012, but we didn't have enough supporters to help us get out our vote. Don't let this happen again. If you had joined us, we may have changed the results!

The Post-American Presidency
"The Post-American Presidency" by Pamela Geller: I first heard of this book while listening to our friend Pete I Da Tech Guy's radio interview with the author Pam Geller. Her comments about Barak Obama were so intriguing that I immediately went to Barnes and Noble and bought the book. It started slow, but as I continued to read the book painted a clear picture of our president that is both distrubing yet clarifying. Coincidentally, I was reading the book at the same time I was watching the series on the military channel, "World War II in Color". While watching the "greatest generation" fight for freedom on foriegn soil, it became clear why I can't relate to President Barak Obama: he isn't like me or anyone in my family/social circle. What I mean is that his entire upbringing in Hawaii and in Indoneisa is so opposite to how I was raised that it is clear that his perspective on America, the government, the constitution, our social and cultural values, history, and generational family mores is different from those I hold dear. This different perspective is what I believe has created the President's inate desire to charge forward with is plan for great social change and move toward a socialistic or European nation. Pam Geller puts out the facts and tells a story. You be the judge--do you agree?? I highly recommend this book. Thank you to Da Tech Guy for leading me to this book!
