DO WE HAVE THE GOVERNMENT WE DESERVE?
CAN WE DO BETTER??
THE FITCHBURG REPUBLICAN CITY COMMITTEE WANTS AND NEEDS YOUR HELP!!
Unfortunately our Republican candidates and the Party was defeated in November 2012. We were defeated, but we are not gone!! We are dusting ourselves off and are coming back, stronger than ever. We have many ideas on how to attract new members to join the Party as well at to attend our monthly meetings to help in our activities throughout the year.
Why did we lose, because in part because we did not have YOU. YOU didn't become involved and participate, you let others do the work. We were willing and able, but fell short. It is now your time to join in and help. We don't need you sitting home feeling sorry for yourself and asking how could "he" have been re-elected. There are local elections in 2013, an unexpected Senate race, as well as U.S. House positions open again in 2014. There may also be some special elections in MA that will need all hands on deck to help get out the vote. Don't sit at home again this time. Join us this time. We could have made a difference in 2012, but we didn't have enough supporters to help us get out our vote. Don't let this happen again. If you had joined us, we may have changed the results!

Charles Krauthammer's Astute Assessment of Obama's Strategy
Columnist, political pundit and psychiatrist, Charles Krauthammer is defining the strategy that Obama is using to deflect a poor job performance record: first, "whine and complain" when this doesn't work, "blame". Will this strategy ultimately work to win him another four years in the White House? Read Charles Krauthammer's oped piece in Saturday's "Sentinel and Enterprise", October 15, 2011: http://www.sentinelandenterprise.com/opinion/ci_19120325
Does Warren Have Scott Brown on the Run?
In the "Boston Herald" article by Dave Wedge, Sunday, October 16, 2011, we read that Scott Brown's recent bloopers may give Elizabeth Warren and her liberal, democratic supporters the "in" they needed to defeat our junior senator in 2012. In addition to other races that will keep us busy in the upcoming year, we may again need to become members of the "Brown Brigade" and show our loyalty and support for Scott.

The Lady Fought the Law and The Lady Won
The FRCC has been following the case of Arlene Tessitore, the Fitchburg mother of two young teenage girls who were given a social values survey at their Memorial Middle School without the consent of their parent. The survey questioned the young teens on their various sexual/social practices and values. Based on Arlene's concern as a parent who is losing parental rights to the government, she brought the issue of inappropriate surveying of young people to the attention of the school authorities and Committee. After months of deliberation and legal review, Ms Tessitore prevailed. Read more in the "Worcester Telegram and Gazette" September 15, 2011. Parents in other cities and towns in MA now need to look into their own schools' policies on such questionnaires and determine if they need and can change policy. http://www.telegram.com/article/20110915/NEWS/109159456/1116
Love Means: Passing the Bill
Jonah Goldberg writes in his column, "Boston Herald", Sunday, September 18, 2011 that if you love Obama you will pass his jobs bill. But, is Obama still "The One" that many though he was in 2008?

Everything New is Old in Obama-speak
Like the movie "Groundhog Day" each time President Obama speaks on jobs, it's like the same speech you heard yesterday. Read the "Boston Herald" editorial September 13, 2011:
