DO WE HAVE THE GOVERNMENT WE DESERVE?
CAN WE DO BETTER??
THE FITCHBURG REPUBLICAN CITY COMMITTEE WANTS AND NEEDS YOUR HELP!!
Unfortunately our Republican candidates and the Party was defeated in November 2012. We were defeated, but we are not gone!! We are dusting ourselves off and are coming back, stronger than ever. We have many ideas on how to attract new members to join the Party as well at to attend our monthly meetings to help in our activities throughout the year.
Why did we lose, because in part because we did not have YOU. YOU didn't become involved and participate, you let others do the work. We were willing and able, but fell short. It is now your time to join in and help. We don't need you sitting home feeling sorry for yourself and asking how could "he" have been re-elected. There are local elections in 2013, an unexpected Senate race, as well as U.S. House positions open again in 2014. There may also be some special elections in MA that will need all hands on deck to help get out the vote. Don't sit at home again this time. Join us this time. We could have made a difference in 2012, but we didn't have enough supporters to help us get out our vote. Don't let this happen again. If you had joined us, we may have changed the results!

In a "Boston Herald" editorial column, Sunday, November 13, 2011 the writer comments on Obama's most recent opportunity to pander to the environmentalists by postponing the vote to build a 1,700 mile pipeline from Canada to Oklahoma until after the 2012 election. Patrick Administration Forced to Comes Clean on the Cost of Medical Care for Illegals
Congratulations and kudos to Massachusetts Representative, James Lyons, Jr. (Republican) for forcing the Patrick administration to come clean and produce figures showing the cost of providing medical care to illegals in MA. Thankfully, some of our elected officials, albeit too few, want the taxpaying public to know where their taxes are going. Some See it as the Result of Redistricting: Others--Divide and Conquer
In the "Sentinel and Entrprise" article, Tuesday, November 8, 2011, the proposed redistricting map has been introduced; dividing the Twin Cities into two different legislative districts. Read more and question, was this the only way to go to keep the districts equal or was this a political move to lessen the impact of a growing conservative base in North Central MA?
The Scary Plight of a Conservative Minority
To the Republican Party Senator Marco Rubio has it all, he's young, attractive, intelligent, conservative and has a compelling personal story as he parents left Castro's Cuba to find a better life in the United States. To the Democrats, Marco Rubio is the monster under the bed. He must be destroyed by liberals as he is perceived as a real danger to their loss of the Hispanic voting block. Read Jennifer C. Baceras's column in the "Boston Herald", Monday, October 31, 2011:
